We have two types of members: (1) Home Gardeners and (2) Box Gardeners. The cost is $10 per person. Annual Dues are payable at the time of application. Our monthly meeting is on the the 1st Thursday of every month from 10:00-noon. Members are not required to rent a box. Membership entitles you to attend monthly meetings and reap the benefits of master gardener lectures, volunteer to help box renters, serve on a committee, and be actively involved with club projects without renting a box.
Most Asked Questions:
- How Do I Become a Garden Club Member. At the bottom of this page is a document folder. Print the application, write a check for $10 per member and take it to the drop box for garden club at the end of the hall part office window, open door, box on right.
- How Do I Get A Garden Box. Box renters must be a full time resident in Stone Creek, pay HOA dues and be an owner on the house in Stone Creek. They must work their box according to compliance for 12 months out of the year. No box should be empty without plants. Boxes can rest for the month of August. Resting means, no plants and covered. You can not give your box away, contact he vacation committee to watch it for you while on vacation. We have a vacation/beautification committee that will take care of your box while you are gone.
Garden boxes are rented for $40 annually. Size 4’ x 12’. Once you are a member, your name can be placed on the wait list for the next available box. Please indicate on your application if you want to be placed on the wait list and if you will accept a short or must have a tall box. Commitment. A Garden Box is a major commitment! It takes several visits a week to maintain the box. Most people drop out or give up the box because it is too much work. Please read the compliance commitment below.
